Gynecological Surgery

The Gynecological Surgery staff's ultimate goal is to, at all times, respect the woman's bodily integrity and aesthetics. In regards to gynecological pathologies, operations are mainly performed with laparoscopic techniques. These allow doctors maximum protection of the patient in both her physical and psychological aspects. All of the operations for benign pathologies (from the simplest procedure to the most complex, such as the  removal of parts of the intestine as a result of rectal intestinal endometriosis), are performed making small incisions of about 5 mm on the abdomen. Even oncological interventions of the uterus, ovaries, and lymph
nodes are done using laparoscopic techniques.

The ward also utilizes the Da Vinci robot, which does not replace the surgeon but helps him. It shortens surgical time and improves the quality of surgery resulting in a more improved suture of the uterus in myomectomies, less pain after surgery, and a faster discharge from the hospital. There is also a service related to diagnostic and operative hysteroscopy.
