Cardiology

The Cardiology Department at the Abano Terme General Hospital collaborates with Professor Sabino Iliceto, the Chair of Cardiology at the University of Padua.

The department has at its disposition:

• 3 cardiovascular ultrasound machines
• 7 Holter monitors
• 2 instruments for measuring arterial blood pressure h24,
• electrocargiograph-cicloergometer

In collaboration with the Department of Nuclear Medicine myocardial scintigraphies, both resting and stress tests, can be performed. In addition, a 64-slice cardiac CAT scan,a magnetic resonance immaging of the heart and major vessels, can be achieved in partnership with the Radiology Department.

Furthermore, there is a Metobolic Cardiology outpatient department dedicated to those patients who have cardiologic complications due to diabetes mellitus.

Moreover, the polyclinic has planned to add another 5 Holters, a Pressure Holter, and an electrocardiographic system that will all be interfaced with the patient's computerized clinical file.
