Rehabilitation

The Rehabilitation and Function Recovery Ward at the Abano Terme General Hospital works to help patients recover motor function after a trauma. It offers 15 beds for inpatient admissions for patients who have recently undergone orthopedic type operations, such as from the hospital's Orthopedic Ward or Knee Surgery Ward.

The team of specialists in rehabilitative orthopedics, along with the physical therapists and nurses, work to ensure the fastest and most efficient functional recovery and autonomy of the patient, even after they are discharged.

The ward's rehabilitation gym is capable of servicing not only basic rehabilitation programs, but is also capable of handling more complex ones due to its high performance technology which allows complete evaluations to be done on the patient enabling a highly specialized management of his or her rehabilitation issues.

The pool uses thermal spa water from the famous Euganean Hills area, which has many noted health benefits, to assist the patients in their recovery.

The Rehabilitation Ward, through outpatient activity, works in close synergy with the Orthopedics Ward in order to guarantee continuous therapy even after the patient is discharged.

The rehabilitation work is done in the new recently restored building. Here it is possible to utilize cutting-edge technologies such as:

• 'BTS ELITE' system analysis of the way you walk
• 'CSMI HUMA CIBEX NORM' system for isokinetic evaluation and rehabilitation
• 'DELOS' system for the proprioceptive and postural evaluation and rehabilitation.

Moreover, individual hydrokinesitherapy can be done in the hospital's internal swimming pool.

The activity in the ward is guaranteed also on holidays.
